nice
there's a detail that i like in this one: the box on the right without a fruit. it brings another dimension and suppresses the "on a box there MUST be a fruit" feel. Gives more depth, less programmed, more life.

nicely done
good detail in shading
its okay
i agree, because this isn't really impressionistic, the lines should be sharper and the colors should be blended to avoid the geometric look you have here. not bad tho. i like that its an oil painting. Thanks for putting that up on here haha.
Good colors, better if blended more
The colors go well, especially with the reflected light, but the fruit should have darker shadows at parts. This would make the 'form ball' more obvious because it looks flat on parts of the fruit. If the transitional colors and shade were blended more it would have improved the painting quite a bit.
Which parts? If you mean that the fruit could do with having very slightly darker shadows at the very bottoms where the core shadows meet the cast shadows, you're probably right. I disagree about the blending though: I feel the more patchy style is preferable for communicating the play of light on the objects.
Thanks for the review.
Sure, you can put fruit on boxes...
...But the real challenge is getting the fruit in the boxes.
