14x19 watercolor/acrylic/ink

This is a really nice sunset picture, it really captures the colour of some quite beautiful sunsets I have seen. The contrast of delicious colouring in the background and the solid black tree silhouettes in front makes it really realistic seeming and almost 3D, I can almost get the sense of the trees being more like a piece of black paper that has been cut out and layed on top. Some really nice inkwork, I have always admired your ink drawing, especially your outline style and the lines you add for details in a lot of your work. Do you do the ink straight up freehand or do you use pencil beforehand and then go over it?

You have done a real great job of the watercolour and to think it wasn't all that long ago you thought that you sucked at it. You have really dramatically improved at it, even compared to some of your pretty good watercolour drawings from your "Magical adventure to not be shit at watercolour". I especially like how the wide spectrum of colours blends so softly in a very nice transition from colour to colour, it gives it a very soft and fluffy colour which brings out the effects in the sky making it look all cloudy. You must have seen some sunsets personally to catch this mood right.

It actually took me until I was just about to leave the page after looking at the art for the first time when you uploaded it, after I had done looking at the picture, it caught my eye just as I went to exit the tab and BAM it hit me, the name of the art and the entire picture took on a whole other meaning. Really great job man!

Thanks mayne!
With this one I did a bottom layer of watercolor, did some of the thicker branches of the tree in black acrylic paint, and the did the smaller bits with ink. Also lmao yeah, I have come quite far from that. Good times.

Also yeah, I had fun with the meaning behind this one.

Thanks again yo
