The poison mushroom is inconsistent in design and effects between Mario games. I took the Mario Party 3 design which acts as a "curse," and it makes you go slower:

In my opinion, the most lethal Poison Mushroom is the one with a skull on its head.

Power ups in the Mario franchise usually have good effects, some make you bigger, invincible, able to fly...

Poison 'Shrooms on the other side always have negative effects. If you're bigger, it makes you smaller. If you're already small, it kills you. In Super Mario RPG, it drains your health...

It could easily represent the hurtful things in your life that beat you down. The opposite of a power up, a toxic emotion in your life that drains your happiness away.

This is such a "DELIGHTFUL" visual a sad luigi but its a beautiful piece, maybe having hin with a few tears might have been a more sad moment, So there was alot that went into this, a dash of this and a dash of that, you even added some fusions that made this work even more better the blends of design you have in this blend so well and all in all this was just a fantastic element and artistic value that shines, So I was really impressed with this piece as a whole, I love the deepness and the depth of it, you really do know how to ad detail to a simple structure and that shows off well here.

Linkerluis responds:

Thanks for the detailed review!

The tears could be a good element, but there's also an alternative emotion like, how many times have you hold your tears to then pushed those emotions back in to try to act tougher?

It's obviously not a healthy thing to do, but it's also a response certain people have under similar circumstances.

Very poetic drawing, I love it.

Linkerluis responds:

Thank you! :) this one came from a very sincere place so I'm kinda happy that people are finally connecting with it.

poor luigi.

Linkerluis responds:

I feel him deeply.

Yo're damn right my man… Depression is draining your happiness. I know that for a fact. But for every bad moments, a good one might show up. And you have to hold it like you would hug a teddy bear, and go with it, until another good moment show up. This image is also really good. Good shading, good proportion and overall good work. That's with you get a (really rare) 5-star pass. Good work, Nothing more to say.

Linkerluis responds:

I'm glad you liked it. I made this piece a long time ago and it never really captured to much attention.

It's good to see that people are finally connecting with the emotion that I wanted to share.

Oh friend, If you do not have one, Mario will not have a "first" friend accompanying him.
