"Through an open doorway
Across a stream
To another life
And catching my reflection in a window
Switching on a light
One I didn't know
Totally alive
Totally relieved"

So two weeks ago I got into my first art class since middle school, and I am having a blast! It feels so good to be able to not only draw again, but draw my own things! This is huge for me. Because remember that Burial drawing I did back in February? I had not drawn a single thing since then because I was in such a slump. Always consuming "inspiration" but never actually applying it.

I got myself a small black sketchbook to practice my art outside of school, and the first thing I drew (aside from a crappy, referenceless tree I quickly sketched to get my creative juices a-flowin') was this little ditty. I drew this while listening to Radiohead's 'A Moon Shaped Pool' (thus the name), and was really inspired by Stanley Donwood.

Please let me know what you think! I know it's a little difficult to critique an abstract piece, but I'd love to get a second, third, fourth opinion on this!
