So I initially wanted to do this with actual wax crayons like a kid's colouring page. But trying to mix and blend with them was a nightmare, so I used the next best thing: dollar store oil pastels! Still a nightmare! 20+ hours later though, this is the result!
Normally you're supposed to blend pastels into each other to get a gradient, but for the ghost lady, I used a paper towel to smear the colours to get that really light, smooth look without piling on a crap ton of white. Though as much as I want to say this was 100% pure traditional, I did have use a bit of Photoshop to do some brightness and colour correction due to my scanner just not being a good scanner. I also added a very faint splash of yellow around the characters to make them pop a little more as well as darken some of the foreground stuff.
All in all though, I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out! :D
