Arkin Plush for BookCon 2017

Share

There is about a 0.00003% chance that anyone here will know what these are / what they are from, so you're just going to have to take my word for it when I say that they're an original species from a science fiction series by K.N. Salustro.

They're made from minky fabric, stuffed with polyester fiberfill, and have machine-embroidered faces. All of them include gradient embroidery in their eyes because I finally learned how to do that and it's my latest kick. :D

All 5 are going to BookCon 2017 in NYC next weekend and will be up for sale there!!

This pattern was made from scratch, and I'm pretty pleased with it. I have plans to modify the base for future projects. I'm pretty excited about the possibilities!

Wow, they look so professional! Amazing skills, 5/5! (The one with green eyes is definitely my favorite.)

krissalus responds:

Thanks very much! I've been making plush for a few years now, but I still had some things to learn when it came to creating the pattern for this bunch. :)

Amazing! My 3 year old would love one of these! The best part, which I noticed you were also proud of, are the eyes that give them soo much life. Especially the ones with blue eyes. I particually like the gray and red ones. Since I can't even sew a square napkin, seeing something like this is really amazing.

I'm gonna take a look at your other work to see the other variants you have :) Very cool! Clear 5/5 and I wish you the best of luck in NYC :)

krissalus responds:

Thanks so much! That's so nice of you to say. :) Glad to see the red one getting some love, I wasn't too sure how that color combo would go over, but I am a big fan of red so I had to get one in!
