Starting as a solo act, Mothman made his first joint performance with the Nightcrawlers in 1981. It was then that they created their signature sound. With Mothman’s vocal range reaching impressive highs and lows, combined with the ‘Crawlers’ footwork drumming and percussion, the group created a hauntingly beautiful tone. Fans describe the band’s sound as “the most terrifying sound I’ve ever heard,” “like the world is coming to an end,” and “a doom-ier Whitesnake”. After a world-wide tour in ‘85 they seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. But rumour has it they might be making a comeback soon. Check your local cryptid-sighting locations - they might be performing near you!
