Here is my entry for the Challenge of the Month from Draw with Jazza, I got it up a lot closer to the deadline then I would have liked but.... at least it's up. The theme was Under the Surface, we were allowed to take it figuratively or literally, I feel like I stretched it a bit. I decided to go with the idea that when you read or in this case write, that there is more then just words, under the words there is this whole different world and I tried to show that by having the characters, creatures and landscape coming from under the books and pages.

The little story that I had going in my head is two brothers just wanted to go explore and have a bit of an adventure but keep getting dragged into one thing after the next. Stumbling upon a dragon's hoard and having to escape before getting roasted. Getting chased by the big fluffy cat monster in the back that turns out to just want cuddles and is mostly harmless. Getting stuck on a ship that happens upon a giant octopus and having to help deal with that. Thrown in a dungeon. The younger brother gets turned into a wolf so they have to travel to the capital city to find someone to change him back, and I'm sure from there they get in even more trouble.

I am very proud of this picture, there's so much here that I never would have even tried if I hadn't found Jazza's Channel, I feel like I've grown artistically so much over the past few months and have gained a lot of confidence in myself and my art.
