Super, 1-UP, Goomba

Share

The three mushrooms at the base of my Piranha Plant sculpture are a Super Mushroom, a 1-UP and a Goomba, a secret I intended to keep a little longer.

In creating the full sculpture, I based my design on this question: Had it been based on a real living plant, what would it look like?

I used clay, a strengthened wire skeleton and a special mix of acrylics to get the right appearance of flesh (particularly the inside of the mouth). The same technique was used for the mushrooms, only with a matte touch.

So much details!

The Goomba looks like a muffin on a stick ^^.

Phenomenal!

Your sculptures are amazing, and the inclusion of several entires on the site to show all of your details is welcome and helps the viewer get a real idea as to how much time, effort and creativity went into this project. I hope to see more from you in the future.

That is what they call a Masterpiece

I really like how you added all the detail, specially with the goomba I would have never guessed,CLEVER.I must ask if you ever do get around to making another just like this or better which I doubt you can do cause this one is flawless PLEASE let me know I would gladly purchase it =D

Again... SWEET!

Your clay work is undeniably sexy.
