Author Comments

A Pakku rotundus specimen, part of my 8-Bit Labs series of sculptures. Watch the vid here: http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/549283 or youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=JlEKpZuxbco (delete space in link)

Each piece is based on a classic videogame character as seen through the prism of real-life anatomy. They are rendered in clay, painted with acrylics and sealed in resin to give the appearance of a specimen preserved in formaldehyde. Seen here is a P. rotundus, which is based on Pac Man.

And just in case, from the Q/A:
Q: No photographs? What about a photo of a painting I did in real life?
A: A photograph of a sculpture, painting, or some other piece of art you have made are in fact exceptions to this rule. Feel free to submit scans and photographs of your art if it's not already in a digital format.

pacman!!!!!!

That thing looks real, man! It looks organic.

Someone should hire you for making movie props and monsters. This looks hell of a lot better than cheesy CGI stuff they do nowadays. It looks better than 99% of movie prop monsters too (back when they'd actually make the things, and not just CGI everything).

You could probably make something like this and pass it off as a hoax and I bet people would buy it. You could invent entire new species!

Oh lawd. I love it.

this is one of the most awsome and disterbing things i've ever seen

Pacman IRL :p
