Broken Mirror, Broken Lapis

Hello there!

This is my first time posting here.

A friend gave me a heads up about Pixel Day 2019, and since I had this wip image of Steven Universe's Lapis Lazuli, I thought I could finish it and post it here for everyone to see.

I hope you like it!

EDIT: I reuploaded the art as GIF so the quality of the image is improved. Thanks QuantumByte for the tip.

Looks super cool, only point of artistic critique would be that this could have used a different background color to make the water design stand out better (right now it doesn't contrast very well against the white background, making it hard to see).

I'd like to give you a technical tip for the future: Pixel Art gets downscaled to its actual size (in this case 320 by 240 px) on Newgrounds if you upload it as a PNG, but gets scaled without compression loss if you upload it as a GIF. If you upload pixel art as a GIF, it not only makes it appear bigger on the page, but also avoids blurring of the individual pixels (due to PNG compression), making for a much better enjoyment of the art.

Kaileen responds:

I didn't know about the it, the size and the format of the file as GIF, I mean.
I'll be more careful about it in the future.
And thank you very much for the critique and the tip!
I'll make sure to keep such details in mind the next time I draw something.
I'm really glad you like it too, thank you again!

Yes, yes you can.

Kaileen responds:

Thanks you very much for the reassurance, Exedor, and for the score.
I'm glad you liked it!
