On Monday, I got my copy of Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! and the compatible drum controller through the post. This is the first time I've ordered a game from Japan and needless to say, I was so excited when I got it! One of my friends from my Japanese class also has this game, and he's played a bit of one of the arcade versions when he was in Japan back in the Spring. I played the game for the first time up against him in Vs. mode last Tuesday, when he had just got the game, given to him by our Japanese teacher. Fun! But almost every game in the Taiko no Tatsujin franchise has been Japan-exclusive. Taiko Drum Master on the PS2 is an exception, and this new game on the Switch will be as well on November 2.

I think the Switch game's localization has something to do with the fact that Don-chan is also a playable character in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. I play as him whenever I play that game! Could this mean that future Taiko no Tatsujin games will see international releases too?
