Petro Divicha sketch

Share

The main character of The Overseer animation I did.

In this picture Petro is in his early 50's. He has been a very physical man his whole life and it shows with his appearance. Petro is the same ethnicity as Kata. He is of Slavic descent, but speaks far better English than Kata does. Petro and Kata have never met and have absolutely nothing to do with each other. But Petro and Mac have met and are very good friends.

Petro is a retired and respected Slavic Army veteran, and chose to move to another country once his war was over. He was there in Kata's hometown during the time it was first attacked, and fought the enemy like hell until the war came to a stalemate. They never needed assistance from another country. He has met Kata's friend that was described as the worst person Kata ever knew.

Petro and his wife Ina gave birth to twin daughters, who are both 8. During particular events, one of his daughters is kidnapped. Petro embarks on a long and tragic journey to find her. He turns out to have had relations with her captors, and eventually the story of his time directly after the war with them are told.
The event leaves Petro a shell of the man he once was. In the aftermath of this, certain things happen that pit Kata and Petro against each other. This event triggers a chain reaction that sets the main story on it's course.

I miss some kind of background, otherwise I like it.
Sure, it's a pencil draw, some may not like this, but I'm a bit old-fashioned sometimes and these drawings remind me of the past, when you have to draw your entire comic on some sheets of paper and copy then to let your friends see them - thx to the internet, that's not longer necessary ;)

The character facts you wrote in the comments help us, too. We get a better insight of your work and the entire storyline. Keep it up, mate!

You know, I think a comic might be a fun idea. Thanks man!
