cthulhu saves the world

So This last PAX I was lucky enough to meet Bill Stiernberg from zeboyd games! It was super awesome running into him and we decided to do up some art trade-age.

I decided to do his very cool game "Cthuluh Saves the World!" it was a lot of fun to do. So there's the blue haired Umi and that cool necromancer October with her books and whip. And don't forget that heroic Cthuluh at the back!

Really liking the character designs here. Would love to see an animation done with these characters!

jouste responds:

Yeha that would be pretty cool!

alas I am not the best animator in the world, I have neither the skill nor the patience to bring things to life that well. thanks for the comment!

I just bought this game and tried it out...hardest old school RPG I've ever played...never died 4 times in the first area of an RPG before...and now I'm sculpting cthulhu...fun stuff! I like the details you added here like the barnacles, they don't really show much of him in the game other than some silhouette drawings in the beginning.

You shoulda asked him if you could do some art for one of his upcoming games! Like sweet menu art or character models or cutscene stock art (if you can animate that would be awesome!). I don't know, but I think your style goes really well with the pixel graphics of CSTW.

Now there is a game I would play.

Awesome Job too. I really like the line work and color. The poses are pretty solid and dynamic over all. Faved
