I really like how clean and sharp your lines and coloring are, I think you’ve really nailed down your rendering style. Good work!

The use of coloring here is so minimalistic but wonderful, I adore it :D

Jmanvelez responds:

Thanks, I love using few colors. Makes my art look much more interesting

I thought the same with I was a kid with his mullet in the 90s. The drawings were so ambiguous.

Hey! Gorgeous character design. And I loved the trivia. The magazine had beautiful art. And they even added the typical Japanese flavour by having a pantyshot. xD

Anyways, thanks for that.

@jthrash That's not the only game. And the one in which the romantic relationship is the clearest is Skyward Sword. It's also heavily implied in others. In some other cases, it's clear that there's no other bond than destiny, like Twilight Princess (in which Link seems more interested in Midna or Ilia).

Honestly, from an unbiased perspective I don't see why Link can't also have a female equivalent outside of Linkle and that one BS-X Zelda game. The only game I can think of where Zelda is romantically interested in Link (as opposed to just allies or friends) is A Link Between Worlds. Maybe the answer is as simple as that it's too much effort to design two separate playable genders; not enough women really care whether the character they play as is male or female; or that Link, like Kris in Deltarune, is already "bishounen" enough to look feminine to the untrained eye, anyway. I would personally like a female Link for the two big reasons shown off in this lovely art.
