Sometimes bringing justice can be tiring, depressing work. When I drew this, I imagined he was taking a break to get his head together after a long day that ended with someone hanged or something.
The Deadly Ranger is kind of like a post-apocalyptic version of a sort of gunslinger/wandering lawman type you'd see in westerns, known for being very ruthless in his dealing of justice, kind of like if you'd put Judge Dredd in a hat and gave him a revolver.
Most of the coloring is colored pencil, everything except his clothes basically, which are markers.
and yes, I am in fact keenly aware that the position of that horizon-looking thing makes no sense unless you're a midget.
