This painting is mostly watercolor with a small amount of gouache. It literally took several weeks because I didn't really have much motivation to finish it. I liked how it turned out but I feel like I have a lot of critiques for myself and feel like a lot of areas were overworked. I also feel like some paint really sat on top of the paper? I mostly blame the fact that in the midst of this I changed what set of watercolors I was primarily using. I was gifted the set of tubes of Daniel Smith watercolors that I was trying out for a couple of painting (which by the way are literally amazing.) But towards the beginning, I was using the cheap Lowel Cornell watercolors that I was using at the start. Oh and also I started signing my drawings.
