Ok! So it's been a while since I made a new fractal - I like to think that each new one I make becomes more and more advanced, with more visual eye candy for you to enjoy - and I am rather pleased with this one.

I wanted to have a firey mandala theme with a feeling of INTENSE energy - of a white hole, pulling dead stars and matter into itself and EXPLODING out stars in a birthing stream as our galaxy does. I also wanted to have more than one floating around in the background.

So I made an internal solid core surrounded by intense energy ringed by a celestial mandala ring - with energy pouring in from the top and bottom and blanketing out into a blanket of stars - it is why the stars in the blanket are different than the stars behind the white hole. In the background are different "birthing" suns farther away into the distance.

I really wanted to explore all the colours of fire - from intense white to yellows and oranges and reds fading into purples and blues.

Please don't look at art and see only what you think is obvious. Art is about interpretation, and appreciation of form. If you fail to see that in my works then that saddens me, but there isn't much I can do about it.

First off, I never knew you did this whole art shindig! Always good to be a multi-hyphen, able to do more than one thing at once. Secondly, It's like I blasted off into space and did some acid. That mixed with the computerized space god from Futurama. Seriously though this is pretty colorful, and the symmetry of the figure against the stars is pretty cool

IoTheEternal responds:

Thanks man - yeah I am actually an artist over a musician - been doing art since before I could walk - only started music after highschool kinda as a joke ironically..

if you go on my old chronamut account you'll see all my old art and other fractal pieces like this :)

and lol the futurama god :P

thanks for the review!

i like it! you have a hand for art like this one.

what tool did you use to make those flare shapes?
did you make it so symmetrical by mirroring it?

edit: now that i was at your website i don't think you "have a hand" for this kind of thing anymore...you have, through many hours, nurtured the talent that you had for this to make works like that. well done

IoTheEternal responds:

Hehe the program is in my description - Apophysis 7x - it's a fun program but very frustrating to use, and it doesn't look perfect right out of the box - lots of tweaking is required..

and yeah I've kinda honed it to a fine art - I am the only one on this site that does them in the specific style you see - most just rely on the fractal itself with a black background - I like to make it into something substantial and recognizable :)

if you look up chronamut on here you can also see them on my account there :)

and no I didn't mirror it - I mathemetically made it perfect :)

although.. the ones on the sides yes are mirrored. And I did mirror the middle one over itself - it was perfectly circular originally though.. so yeah.. mirroring.

So thank you for appreciating my hard work :)

thanks for the review!

Very interesting. It does feel like it radiates some sort of energy whenever I look at it.

I think it would be more interesting to look if it were more 'asymmetrical'. It's looks nice the way it's centered, but I think to truly make it feel like nature, it can't be too balanced. Not a must, but I think it'd look cooler (or hotter?) if it more fiery looking to really emphasize how hot and explosive it is.

It's an overall very pretty work. The colors and effects look nice. The way the energy emanates from the center like that feels like something alive is bursting out of there. So it does feel like some sort of celestial birth.

IoTheEternal responds:

if you zoom in you'll find the central "core" is slightly off center. It bothers me to no end, so you have your wish lol.

And I generally don't do assymetrical - I am a libra hehe - we are literally the personaification of balance :P

And yeah that is what I was going for - an intense cosmic energy radiating from a central core - so I am quite happy the way it turned out :P

Don't expect to see much asymmetry from me - cosmic solar fern flare is probably the only truly asymmetrical piece I ever did hehe :P

thanks for the review!

Dang that looks amazing dude.

IoTheEternal responds:

thanks man - I plant to make many more as time goes on- already have quite a few already :)

thanks for the review old friend :)

I really like this. Reminds me of Star Trek the motion picture when Spock enters the Vger orifice and finds cosmic Ilia with her pulsating voice box.

IoTheEternal responds:

haha that's a great reference - yeah I can see that - I try to make my pieces as contemplative and as cerebral and otherworldly as I can - where it feels like you are floating in space with it :)

thanks for the review! :)
