This is a really great picture! I kind of wish there was a bit more going on, but it's still awesome. I don't quite understand what the title means. I guess Poe just refers to dark stuff, which this certainly was. He kind of looks like a jack-o-lantern. Actually, seeing as how this was made in October, that was probably the intention.
The background works so well. It's like the whole thing is made of charcoal. I love how the eyes sizzle too. You have a pretty cool logo as well. It's just lots of fun to look at.
belongs on a board.
This may be two years old or so, but regardless, it's awesome in the most literal sense of that word. Actually awe-inspiring somehow.
It's such a simple concept, yet so masterfully executed, and this has left me utterly speechless.
And, as you can judge by my past review of your Cheesecake or CHEESECAKE?, and also other past reviews, this is a rare achievement on your part.
I have little more to say, other than I adore the simplicity. No doubt, this was difficult to draw, but the result is simple in such a complicated way. It blows my mind how I would explain this to a sane person, so I'll just not try to explain how it can be simple, and still complex in appearance.
It somehow reminds me of the face of a Nurgling. That mischevous grin, those glee-filled eyes (though they are little more than red orbs), and I can almost imagine the insane cackling/gibberish it would produce. It's a Nurgling, just not a tiny, fat, rotten, pus-filled ball of disease.
If you haven't already published the other submissions yet (I haven't looked at your gallery just yet...), then I will be looking forward to seeing them!
If you have released them, then please ignore the above sentence. Just pretend it's more of my insane ranting.
this is creepy and scary!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
I found it! Ive had this as my picture for awhile now...its nice to see where it comes from. The full drawing is very cool and scary. I like it!
