This is a iPhone painting (thats why you got the weird ratio). With that said, I was going for a snapchat sloth selfie look. The icons are drawn in. This was the first painting I did using the Pocket Procreate app. Anyways, thanks for checking out the piece and have a good one guys! :D

Oh for God's sake! ANOTHER stupid selfie drawing? If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. There's nothing special about just taking pictures of yourself!
Honestly, icheban, you were one of my favorite artists, until you watered down your creative abilities to THIS. I never imagined that such an experienced artist, way better than me, could so easily fall into a stupid fad! Why? Just why?

icheban responds:

Hey CourageousComic, no need to trip man. I don't think I've ever even done a painting with the perspective of a camera phone taking a picture so I'm not sure why you assume I've fallen for a fad. It's okay to dislike certain style of artwork, it's okay to even hate them because that's what art is all about. With that said, I just wanted to draw some sloths and get familiar with the app. I'm sorry if you don't like it but then again I don't expect any one person to like all of my work. Thanks for the feedback :)

Beautiful job on the textures of the fur, it looks very soft and hug-able. The eyes are adorable, especially with the highlights in them. The shading is very soft, but it looks nice. The only problem I have is the background. The matte blue is a bit too boring, throwing some clouds in or maybe some trees might help.

icheban responds:

Thanks for the great feedback! I agree with you. I tend to ignore my backgrounds quite a bit and I think it shows in multiple of my pieces. I would say if I was to spend more time on the piece I would def touch the background up a bit. Thanks again!
