Angels of Skyworld, secretive to Mortals, hiding in plain sight to protect others from greater evils, while guiding the purest of Souls to the Heavens. Demons of Makai, creatures of the Darkness whose motives vary, but generally, they're just as sapient and capable of valuing things and people as Mortals are. Many of both these parties were Mortals once, before ascending to the Shimmering Heavens or ascending into the Ethereal Shadows. Many Mortals would be surprised to learn that Palutena, the Goddess of Skyworld and ruler of the Angels, and Morrigan Aensland, the top Darkstalker and dominant ruler of Makai, were not only familiar with each other, but also friendly rivals. Still, most Angels try not to get close to anyone below Heaven, so they don't reveal themselves as higher beings. Lunali is not one of them.

  Lunali was a moody, passive Angel, who saw things bluntly. Every Soul that passed on was just another spark in an endless stream, flowing in the neverending cycle of Light and Darkness. Which one they chose, and where they would go with it, didn't matter too much. Dark Angels could exist, she was one after all, but it made little difference. A Demon she met from Makai while out Soul-harvesting, named Gracie, thought differently. Managing to learn of Heaven from Lunali, Gracie saw every Soul that changed, be it in life or death, to be special, and always found it really satisfying to see a Mortal change. The two were complete opposites, but seemed to just click, like they knew each other before, not that they could tell you why.

  Lunali's power as an Angel was that of Darkness, drawing in pure Souls that had passed into her shadow, luring them through the dark into the Heavens. She wasn't above reminding the Souls of their, and her, place in the grand scheme, with a soft but almost commanding tone in her voice as she spoke to the Souls in her power, "Cute, your Heart chose Heaven. so I suppose you'll just rest there forever. Or you can serve under Palutena like I do. Not that anyone would notice either way. You're just another Soul in those clouds, beings there will put you in your happiest dreams, your best memories, and if you snap out of it, you can work for a being of Light, shining down with such force that you feel so small in comparison, until you retire, and she sends you right back into your dreams. Yay. But, it's your choice either way, just don't feel pressured, you're not threatening anyone here."

  Despite being a creature of the Dark, Gracie's main shtick was her tail, which was not only unnaturally flexible, but ended with a beautiful pink light that people had a tough time looking away from. it's shimmering glow gave off a feeling of warmth and bliss, even in the darkest areas, it was sublime to watch, absolutely entrancing. It was backed up by her voice, she spoke a sweet and welcoming tone, like a dear friend, "Aw, look at you~I see your time as a human has run out? Hehe, don't worry~You'll love being a Darkstalker~The night is pretty, a shadow that protects you, looms over you when you need it~What are you gonna do once you're different? You gonna rest? Relax? Or go out and have the time of your life? New life, anyway~I just hope you make sure to keep your nose clean. We don't have the best reputation among some people. Some think we're the Demons from Hell. But I trust you'll make the right choice~"

  I tried my hand at an Angel/Demon pair, though different from the usual idea. Lunali is a Dark Angel with a very emo view on life and death, while Gracie is a Demon that only slightly resembles a typical Devil Girl, but uses Lights, and is peppy and welcoming to others. Even their names play into the opposite motif. Lunali's hair is inspired by Cleo De Nile, while the stripe look is based off an error I once made while making a Sindel pic, inverting the colors of her hair. Let me know what you think of them.
