(One day in Dreamland, Adeleine is painting, when somebody approaches...)

Val: That's a lovely painting, Madame~

Adeleine: Oh, thank you. I love views like these, they're so inspiring.

Val: Personally, I love the colors.

Adeleine: Thanks, they really bring the picture together.

Val: You might've heard, but a gala is coming up.

Adeleine: Multiversal Gala, right?

Val: Celebrates the anniversary of something special. If you don't mind my asking, are you going?

Adeleine: Well, I was thinking about it.

Val: I think you'll love it. It'd be inspirational for an artist like you~

Adeleine: Aw, thank you.

Val: I always love galas and balls. They're so full of life and love. Have you ever been in love?

Adeleine: Uh, I mean, I love people.

Val: Well, that's one way~

Adeleine: Are you a big fan of love?

Val: Hehe, you could say that~Care to see how devoted I am to it? I have my own work of colors dedicated to it.

Adeleine: Oh, sure!

Val: Alright then~

(Val spreads his wings, all six of them shimmering with pink, magenta, and violet)

Adeleine: Wha-Whoa...

Val: Lovely, are they not?~

Adeleine: (Staring, her eyes glued to the wings as the colors shifted from feather-to-feather)Y-Yeah...Very lovely...

Val: The light shining off them feels so warm, it's so pink it's a bit difficult to see your own face turning that color~

Adeleine: ...(Awkwardly tries to look away and hide her blushing)

Val: Oh, don't be shy, Madame~It's natural~As natural as your rapidly beating heart~

(As she looks back at Val's wings, she places a hand on her chest and feels her heart beating quickly)

Adeleine: I...uh...I...

Val: Tongue-tied? That's also natural~I look forward to seeing you at the gala. I'm sure you'll meet someone or see something you'll really like~Can't wait to see what you paint from it~Au revoir...(Flies off)

(Adeleine stands there, awe-struck with hearts spiraling in her eyes)

Adeleine: I...I can't wait...

(Kirby is walking around Cappy Town with Gooey, who see Adeleine leaving a shop with a fancy dress)

Kirby: Hey, Adeleine! You look happy!

Adeleine: I'm going to the Multiversal Gala!~

Kirby: Oh yeah, I'm going too! I was wondering what kind of food they'd have.

Gooey: I just like the pretty lights.

Adeleine: I'm hoping to meet someone special!~I think I'm in love already!~

Kirby: Don't you already love people?

Adeleine: Yeah, but this one is different!~

Kirby: How?

Adeleine: There might be a kiss involved!~

Gooey: We kiss people all the time. It's how we heal them.

Adeleine: It's hard to put in words...

Gooey: Well, if it's hard, then it can't be that fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-(Notices a Girl Blob walking by)

Kirby: Gooey? Are you okay? You spaced out, more than normal.

(Gooey rushes to the nearby bakery and runs out with a baguette, holding it up to the blob like a flower)

Adeleine: See? It's like that!~

Kirby: It makes you wanna commit theft? Wow, the Squeaks must really be in love.

Adeleine: I guess you'll understand when it happens to you~

Kirby: Or maybe it's some kind of spell someone put over you! No worries, I'll snap you out of it!(Tries to snap their fingers...then the crushing reality hits them as they stare at their own arm)You win again, nub.

Adeleine: Maybe you should go to the gala with someone you really like, Kirby!~

(Kirby ponders this, but because they're Kirby, they mess up the thought-process)

Kirby: So she said someone I really like, but that didn't narrow it down, so since we don't talk much, I thought we could get to know each other better at the buffet table! What do you say?

Kracko: Ingest my electric excrement, you walking nipple.

Kirby: Come on, Kracko! Maybe we could even fall in love! However that works.

Kracko: You don't even know what that means! Have you ever touched a dating app!?

Kirby: There are apps for making dates appear!? Is it magic!?

Kracko: How do you even breathe!?

Kirby: I mean, I got a phone.

Kracko: Oh forget it, just find someone you think is hot, text them something alluring, and they'll fall for you! Simple! I do it all the time!(Pulls out his phone and sends a text)

KIRBYKRACKER6969: hey baby you hot af

FranciscasFlame: I'M MARRIED, I'M GAY, AND I DON'T KNOW YOU, YOU FUKKING VAPOR-MONKEY

Kracko: (Throws his phone in frustration)Your mom is gay!

Kirby: (Looks up from their own phone)Did it work?

Kracko: It does eventually. All you need is patience. And if that fails, go stag with Whispy Woods.

Kirby: Actually, I hear Whispy is going with a flower he met.

Kracko: Dude! You can't just drop that on me!

Kirby: Oh yeah, a lot of people have dates already. Daroach is taking Spinni, Spikehead asked Honey out, I walked in on Dedede and Escargoon practicing a slowdance, and I think Magolor's taking his own ship as a date. I really hope he's right about it being alive, or else that's kinda weird.

Kracko: Ah, hell no! I'm not gonna be a maidenless loser like you!

Susie: Ahem.

(Kirby and Kracko turn to see Chuchu, Ribbon, Susie, and Zan Partizanne in dresses...or a fancy bow in Chuchu's case)

Kirby: Oh hi-

(Kracko knocks Kirby aside)

Kracko: Excellent!(Rushes over to the girls)Hey, ladies, did it hurt when you fell from Heaven, 'cause your faces are makin' me cry!

Zan: We have a date.

Susie: And even if we didn't, no.

Kracko: The hell!? With who!?

(Cuts to Kirby in Ribbon's arms)

Kirby: Hi!

Kracko: Dude, you can't just get four dates!

Zan: I saw them beat my God in a fight. This is nothing compared to that.

Kirby: See you at the gala, Kracko!

Kracko: F-ck you too!

(At the gala, everybody is having a jolly old time, Adeleine is taking in the sights)

Adeleine: Wow, he was right~So many wonderful sights and people here!~I have enough inspiration for months of paintings!~I wonder if I'll really meet my true love here?

(Nearby, Taranza is slicking back his hair)

Taranaza: Alright, Taranza, you can do this. Just walk up and ask her.(Turns to face Adeleine)Excuse me, may I have this dance?~

(He sees Adeleine wandered off and he's now speaking to...)

Magolor: ...

Taranza: ...

Magolor: ...I am flattered, but I already have a woman.

Taranza: (Looks at Lor Starcutter parked on the other side of the buffet table)That's a shi-

Magolor: It's not weird!

   This bit of ridiculousness is based on this wholesome little thing. Also this considerably less wholesome skit. And if you're wondering why I call Kirby "they", Kirby's gender in Japan is "unknown", rather than explicitly male as it is in the West.
