Name of Movie: "Dream Eater"

Backstory: Genomaniac used to terrorize small villages in ancient times, until a good sorcerer sealed him inside an iron cauldron. But the sorcerer believed that one day he would be released from his prison and wreak havoc on all humanity. Centuries later, the cauldron was found and brought to America and accidently shattered, causing Genomaniac to be released. Now that he was free, he wanted to open up a portal to the nightmare realm, but he didn't have enough power to do it without his wand. So he used what little power he had left to turn one human into his mindless servant to help look for his wand, while also spending several nights going into people's dreams and completely draining them of their life-force in order to make himself stronger. Several weeks later, Genomaniac's wand was finally discovered at a local pawn shop. His servant got it for him, and with it, he began performing his ritual of opening a portal to the nightmare realm. Soon nightmare creatures started coming out of the people and started attacking people, but then this one guy who was a detective and investigating the case of the people who were having the life-force drained stepped forward and recited a spell that banished him to oblivion, and the world was saved.

Other Info: Genomaniac is part of an elite group of magic users in Slashinbern called "Witchcrafters" who use magic for evil and to terrorize humans. His method of tormenting humans involves entering their dreams and slowly draining them of their life-force energy (which sounds very similar to Freddy Krueger, whom Gene claims to given him the ability to enter dreams to). Gene can also emit a type of haze that can cause people to hallucinate in order to lure them into a false sense of security right before he strikes. When tormenting humans, he usually acts very playful and cheery at his victims' expense. He also gets very enraged when people make fun of his large girth or his lazy eye.
