Well, here's part 2 of my 4 part series! Jillian, the half demon girl posing topless for her modeling company! And, if the signature looks out of place, sorry...Just trying to find creative ways to make my pictures theft-proof. This time, I think I did good. The background, again...Not so comfortable with it, and a few things bother me about Jillian in general...I hope her pose doesn't bother you too much. Again, just trying to be creative and thinking of some...unique poses...Well, enjoy!

DragonPunch responds:

Thank you! How do I report someone, by the way? There's this troll named Tony Dark-Grave who keeps blamming my art for no reason, and he's just being abusive towards me.

I'm giving this two stars solely based on the fact that after a very long awhile, you're finally stepping out of the comfort zone. Ultimately, the removal of three stars is not meant to discourage you from trying harder to be better but based on some problematic details on this piece that is extremely easy to correct before too long with perversion.

First, let's talk Newton's Law. I assume you took a competent seventh grade science course, so I'll skip the basics and tell you something an embarrassing majority of male illustrators don't seem to get: boobs are never, ever that perky when lying down, until perhaps the woman got implants made solely of cement with absolutely no real breast tissue. Gravity is a harsh reality even in anime. Hell, Hayley Williams (of Paramount) has very proportional boobs but when her nudes was leaked, because she was lying on a bed they were resting on entirely opposite sides of the torso, it looks strange sure, but pinup junk you find on Newgrounds is intended solely for upvotes and prepubescent wankery, and you will not learn a shred of realism from referencing from them.

Secondly, I'm glad you're trying out perspective and foreshortening now, but... her right thigh is actually set higher up than her left one. A easy cheat tip to go by is to mentally picture where the hidden portion of the thigh would be. Also, her toes don't line up with the plane--they make her look floating like. If she was in that relaxed of a position in real life feet wise, she would roll to the side instantly. A way to fix this would probably be either to make the toes and sole of the feet lay flat more rigidly to be able to support her weight while raising her heel more (try it yourself), or fixing the leg entirely to be raised in more of a 75-degree angle (don't forget to fix the thigh!).

Also another problem is the bikini bottom. I was going to say the crotch was part of the issue like in your older Sexy Charlotte drawing, but I did a double take--and it's actually not. The problem actually, is, a combination of the placement of the closest thigh to us and how VERY high-cut the bikini bottom is--the top would barely be below her bellybutton if even at all. Not even the crazy styles of the 1980s were like that (think young Elle MacPherson and Baywatch), although the strings' placement on the hips is similar. HOWEVER, the strings themselves also imply just how incredibly thin the back must be... like G-string thin. If you were NOT intending that, then next time you do something like this with an identical pose, I highly suggest you try making the strings just a hint wider at the hips so it will suggest a more realistic back.

Also... it's odd that you chose a gradient effect for her nipples? If a woman has a pale skintone, it is highly advisable to never make the actual color so red. If this was a real life photoshoot, it would likely be the "right-before" of a before-and-after awareness poster of stage 1 or 2 breast cancer. /: Honestly reminds me of hentai if we're going for an anime perspective, but.

The other poster was right when they pointed out that the drop shadow over the water is too smooth. Try doing a rough outline of the waves next time and base the portion of the shadows around that.

There are problems with the base mismatched thicknesses of the horns and the odd line at her neck (especially since her head is not turned) as well, but my word count is getting low, so I'll move on to the positives

I like how your shadows are more obvious than in older pieces such as Calypso of Darkness and the cover design of Soul Girl, and again, that you're trying new things with a more detailed and 3D background and more flexible poses. Not even fucking Picasso got it right probably even the first ten years into his art, and then he became a sell out anyways, so don't get down about the flaws of this piece because it's still a lot better than the mess (no offense man) that you did even a year ago.
