Still working on that character. I decided to name him/it Theta, and the significance is gonna have to do with the number nine. I don't know why yet, but I'll think of something soon.
This is sort of a combination of my style and the style from Megaman Zero. I used Zero's sprites as reference (http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/files/Zero/Zero/Standard/zero_z1standardframes.gif), and tweaked the design a bit so the character's hair is smaller and less dumb and added small details along with the weapons and booster on the back. The 'swords' are attached to his/its wrists, sort of like Assasin's Creed. I think the booster makes him/it look a little too much like Harpuia, though, especially with two blades. I think the booster would be a cool power up though too. I also think that a General Grievous style power up with 4 blades would be cool too. I dunno. I have a lot of ideas.
Mostly I want to make a fast-paced Megaman X style game based around using combos. Tapping the attack button would work the same way Zero's three way slash would work, but holding a trigger or something down would lock the character in place, allowing the player to change around the direction/type of slash or attack they use with the directional buttons. Of course, everything would have to be balanced and
types of enemies would have to only be attackable using certain combos.
I'm also not positive if I'm totally happy with this palette - it's gonna need tweaking.
