The fourth of several posters featuring my OCs in Halloween costumes!
Max is dressed as the comic character Radiant Black, from the series of the same name. I quite enjoy it, I’ll most likely be talking about it in greater detail someday soon. For now, it made for a fun costume for Max and a joy to color. I always love drawing outfits that are pure black with the implication of form and depth made by chunks of color on top.

Oh hey. Radiant Black. I skimmed this a long time ago. Never got to finish it. Liked the concept of black hole and gravity as powers but the story itself never really got me 100% interested and wasn't too sold on the titular character's superhero costume. Mostly the color scheme used.
Still it was a nice read. Glad to hear you enjoyed it since I don't see fanart of it often. Seems obscure and I love obscure comics.
Radiant Black, to me at least, feels like a very basic premise told very, very well. The way the story is told is more interesting to me than the story itself, at least at first. It’s the tried-and-true ‘small-time nobody who aspires to be more suddenly becomes a superhero’ premise with a few things changed here or there. I’ll probably talk about it in greater detail someday, but I’m glad to see somebody else at least knows about it and has similar feelings about it as me. I’m especially glad that you like the design of Radiant Black too, I think it’s my absolute favorite part.
Ah, a fellow obscure comics enjoyer! Radiant Black might not be perfect, but it’s got some greatness to it, and I’d like to see it get some more attention. Until then, I’ll do what I can!
