I originally made this for a Christmas mapart.

Process

The first sketch was two allays making a snow golem and a snow biome fox in the corner. I wanted the allay to have a sparkly effect, but I quickly realized I didn't know how to color it the way I imagined it. I also realized the art should be one large character rather than multiple smaller ones since the final product will be blurred.

I intended for the drawing to have thinner, colored lines and a more pastel palette. The reference for the head was a santa hat I put on a cardboard box. When I finished the sketch I noticed I forgot the wings, but I was happy with the allay without wings.

Overall it's very different from what I originally imagined, but I love how it turned out!
