Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of January we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 177 people to reach our January goal of 3,000 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in February!

Trigger Thomas (2003)

Share

This was an old original Character I developed 10 years ago during a brief art course.
his name is Trigger Thomas. This was done using mostly watercolors.

His backstory was that his family and brother died in a hit and run car accident and Trigger was the only suvriror of the crash at age 10. Since then he was seeking revenge on the person who killed them.

I took some inspiration from Batman's backstory, yet looking back I might have also been influenced by Blade, Spider-man and The Punisher at the time.

I designed him as an anthropomorphic cat because I'm mainly a cat person.

This was the same year as the Link images? I'm kind of surprised. This really looks like an improvement! Then again, it still has this faded look to it. It's still worth looking at. I guess this character was one you never had appear in a cartoon.

Then again, you haven't submitted anything here that isn't sprite. Is this character supposed to be this way? Or did the accident turn him into an anthropomorphic cat? Then again, it could just be a costume he wears, like Batman. The design is just wonderful.
