I think the face and hair is beautiful! but the ear and hand look a bit choppy, try sketching hands if you'd like to improve. also the sweater could use some work, maybe try drawing deferent kinds of fabric, that always helps me. other than that I find it quit nice.

It's cool. I like it, but there's not much detail. I wish there was like.. falling leaves in the background or squirrels gathering nuts for winter. But, who am I to judge? I can barely draw a stick figure correctly.

I don't think you completely failed, far from that!.
I think the eye, leaf, hair and nose (which look completely amazing, at least for my taste) took more of your attention than all else.
I would only complain about the ear and the hand. They distract a little, and seems like they belong in another drawing.

I don't think it deserved front page, honestly. No anatomy, soapy coloring...
