I titled this art “Mother Death” even if Kamala's gender isn't officially revealed but I thought it sounds the best.

Lately I wasn't sure if I'm happy with my OC Kamala's design so I decided to edit it a little. However I also don't want it to completely replace Kamala's first design so this one is their future, older version! Kamala holding the power of Death. I also included Mittens' (the demon centipede) slightly new design!

The skeleton baby Kamala holds is actually Death themself. Death watched and cared about Kamala during all their existence so as their powers will disappear and their whole presence will shrink from a giant skeleton to a small baby (as the story of my OCs universe goes, forces of Life and Death will start to disappear), Kamala will take care of Death while also taking over Death's duties. I wanted this to be a bit symbolic, as a cycle of life and death. Firstly Death cared about Kamala almost like a parent, always watching them and then Kamala was the one taking care of Death and Death's work. Candles in the background also have a meaning! In my OCs story, candles in the Underworld symbolise life of every being – when the flame is gone, it means that a certain creature dies.

Damn, this a very badass looking piece here with your character here mate, they look amazing. Fan of that red and black color palette and god damn sucker for cool looking weaponry. Nicely done here

On a side note, this would make a great tarot card for number 13
(Also digging the story in the descript*)

GrimHatter responds:

Thank you very much! I'm really happy to hear that (:

And I was thinking about drawing my own tarot deck. That's a lot of work but maybe one day!
