Maybe it's just that I've started reading Lovecraft lately, but I found this really neat. I think you got the texture pretty good on the nebula itself but it could use contrast with the stars being sharp, imo anyway. I guess it might also look cool if the nebula didn't have such well-defined borders? You'd probably have to draw many layers overlapping to different degrees to make it look really proper, so bleh.

The idea of this was supposed to be the same as looking up at the clouds and seeing all different kinds of shapes and images. Because nebula's are quite sophisticated (mostly in color) you can make some pretty interesting things out of it.

It's actually my first go at painting a nebula! I haven't painted a normal nebula yet so I suppose the 'anatomy' of the nebula is slightly off. Perhaps sometime in the future ill make a proper one just to understand it better (maybe the eagle nebula because its my favorite one)
