2772, Erebus Major, Varnim Pact and CSCN forces clash in early June.  Confederate Marines and Army infantry units occupied varying areas across the planet.

Cities, towns, villages, etc. Areas of all types would eventually see at least one conflict. The city of Erianapolis was one such conflict zone. The Confederacy, in their push to get the upper hand, advanced marine divisions to hold key strategic points like such urban areas with large populations. The Erebus and Pact defenders wouldn't dare launch artillery at their own people. The confederates didn't realize how relaxed the gun legislation was and how willing the population was to fight the CSCN however, and were met with much stiffer force than initially realized.
