Here is my submission for Jazza's Level Cap COTM. I chose Princess Rosalina! She is standing on her comet observatory (which has also been upgraded) Holding her Luma as she clutches the keys to her motorcycle (A reference to Mario Kart) In her other hand. Look closely at the tag of the keys and you will notice the text "ma-bike" on them. If you have ever customized Mario kart characters using brawl box for CTGP, you'll know what it means... Just a fun little easter egg. Feel free to comment below and give me some tips or constructive criticism! Hope you enjoy!

The only thing that I notice that my eyes don't quite agree with is the crown emblem on the bike. It seems to be crooked and doesn't exactly look rounded to me with the shape of the bike. To straighten up I think the right side needs to be lifted a nudge and the left side naturally shifted the opposite. It could just be the perspective, but wouldn't you agree that it's a little out of whack?

Oh boy, what big.... eyes she has. She's very curvy, natural looking all around, until her face. She seems kind of flat faced, but it's really not a bad thing. (It may also be the small pointy nose that gives this feeling) It's kind of fitting actually as it adds to her serious straight to business stare down/facial expressions she's giving. The suit is done really well. It's what draws my eyes first. Excellent choice of colors, design, and texture.

I really love the detail you put into the background and the way everything blurs a little helps draw the eye to the main attraction of the piece. Perhaps the bike was a little too much as it does appear a little busy. Like usual you do an awesome job with hair, lights, shadows, colors etc... This one is very pleasing to me as purple is probably my favorite color.

Nice work! I love the colors, good luck!

I really like this drawing. The only mistake is the motorbike a bit blurry and undetailed. The girl is amazing even if i hate manga style i have to admit its gorgeous.

Glitchop responds:

Glad you like it! I wanted to blur the bike because otherwise it blended too well with Rosalina, so to get her to stand out, I blurred it as well as the background dramatically so it's less attacking to the eye, sorry if it doesn't please you... And don't forget to have an open mind about art, I respect your opinion... but I think we should all keep in mind art is art, we don't have to love all of it, but let's try and understand it.

Thank you!

It´s awesome!
I really love the look of the Suit (all this well placed highlights._.) & the Hair.
Wish you best of Luck in this Cotm!
Rosalina rules. =)

Glitchop responds:

Thank you! I put so much time into this drawing, so hearing people like it is awesome! Rosalina does rule! I saw your entry too, and I love it, you are very talented! Good luck to you as well!

Overall the piece looks really really well done! The textures in the hair as well as the suit looks absolutely wonderful!

The background is also extremely well done!
I hope you keep up the great work because this is so nice!

Glitchop responds:

Thanks! All the cool textures were done using custom brushes that I made. The hair was done with a "bar code" like pattern that I drew, which was programmed to apply its texture as a "ribbon". After a fair amount of trial and error, I found the ideal setting for my art style... I am probably most proud of this custom brush... I also made a custom brush for painting brick easily and quickly using the same kind of settings. You can see how I made it in my Timelapse of the drawing!
