Death's Monster (Grimataur)

Author Comments

Once there lived a boy in a faraway land. This boy lives at home with his parents in a small village. This boy was the love of the lives of his parents. They didn’t want anything bad to happen to their one and only son. The boy spent the rest of his time helping his parents on the carving shop they owned.
After his 21st birthday, the boy finds out that his parents made an agreement with Death/Grimm Reaper, promising that their firstborn will become his servant when he came of age. The boy’s father told him that they sold his soul to Death in exchange for the health of his father because he got sick and Death was about take him away.
Although the couple intended to cheat Death by not having children, this plan went awry when death persuaded their healer to lie and tell the couple that they could not conceive any child and in return the Death will let the healer live for a very long time.
After telling the boy of his fate, Death came to their house and told the boy’s parents. “Because of what you have done 21 years ago. You tried to trick me! I will not take this boy with me. Instead, I will make his father my monster! And he will help me in collecting souls! (Insert evil laugh) ”. And then Death turned the boy’s father into a monster, turned him into his servant and said. ” Behold! The birth of Grimataur! Death’s monster”.
Now the Grimataur is hungry for souls. Although many brave men made some attempts in killing this beast, but none had become victorious, He now lives in the forest near the village waiting for Death’s command for him to hunt and devour human souls.
