Beru Beru was the monster of the week on Ep.28 of the UFO Robot Grendizer anime, and was the creation of Minister of Science Zuril, who was introduced to replace Blacki and provided a new batch of Saucer Beasts. Beru was unique among the Saucer Beast, been compose of 1000s of miniature Saucers, piloted by tiny Humanoid aliens.

The Micro Saucers were as small, capable to fit in the palm of ones hand, were light yellow in color with 3 spikes on top of the brown color hatch for the cockpit. These would conceal themselves from plain sight, hiding in small spaces, waiting to attack. When they did, they would attack in unison, like a glowing swarm, clinging to any victim and burning them till nothing of their victim is left. The Pilots are describe as resembling Humans, who are from Planet Bell, which align to serve Vega. They would unite to compose the larger Saucer Mode, which was a bright oval in shape. The Robot mode was humanoid in shape, with a body color scheme compose of Brown, Green, Blue and Gray, with two oval Light Yellow Shells on the top portion of its body, with Spikes on its fore arms and lower legs, and had a light Green Mushroom shape head. It had three ports in its stomach to fire missiles.

SideNote1: Yes, because of the tiny Mushroom head and Thicc neck support, it looks like he has one hell of a (ajum) "Junk" for a head. MOVING ON!

Following the Death of Blacki, a badly burn General Gandal returns to base to be treated. After the operation he contacts King Vega to report of what had unfolded: though Gandal himself looked the same as before, the major change was done to Lady Gandal, who was no longer the tiny woman that live inside his head, but now just been a face on General Gandal's. (They essentially became the series equivalent of Baron Ashura from Mazinger Z). Vega informs that Gandal is now in charge of all Operation on Earth and would receive new assistance who'll be equal in rank: Minister of Science Zuril, from Planet Zoro, another world that aligned with Vega.

On Earth, Daisuke and Koji express concern of the long period of silence from Vega (Koji is seen working on his the engine for his new Replacement for the TFO).

Time later, Zuril finally arrives to the Moon Base and begins to study Earth, Gandal reminds him first they need to destroy Grendizer if any hope establish a base is to succeed. Zuril shows him a Miniature Saucer, one of the components of Beru Beru: Zuril suggesting to use Chaos and Trickery with these piloted by the miniature Humanoids from Planet Bell, using their unique skill doing an analogy of a swarm of Ants capable to take down a Lion. Beru Beru is then launch towards Earth, Saucer breaking up into a fleet of the Micro Saucers along the way.

At the Makiba farm, Daisuke, Hikaru, Danbi and Goro depart under a storm to visit the shrine of their ancestors in Danbi's now abandon childhood village. Once at the Shrine the Micro UFOs arrive and conceal in the garden, while Danbi, along with a Buddha Priest, shows the kids the treasure of the family: armor, swords, bows and arrows of the family's warrior heritage, wanting his Children to fight the invaders.

By now the whole village is full of the Micros Saucers, with a group destroying a Power transformer, cutting power to the shrine. The group is then attracted to a dog, barking at the Glowing Saucers, and witness how these swarm over the animal and erase it, the group then runs inside for cover. Without power and with the telephone lines, cut, Daisuke has no choice but to get help. As he sneaks, he calls the attention of the Micro-saucers who go after him as he takes off in the Jeep: on his escape Daisuke tries as much as possible to outrun the small ships, but trying to avoid hitting a rock slide, he crashes into the river, the Micro-saucers then return to the Shrine, though Daisuke survives and runs to the Observatory. By now, the Saucers attack the Shrine and Danbi, now suited up to make a stand against the invaders but get beaten with his get up been burn out. Daisuke makes it to the observatory, transforms and launches Grendizer.

When he arrives, Zuril orders Beru Beru to attack it, the Micro Fleet follows Grendizer, who leads them away from the Shrine. Daisuke tries to destroy them but the weapons are ineffective due to their small size, he ejects from the Spazer but the Micro-saucers swarm over Grendizer and try to burn it, with no success, and these then unite to form the Beast Beru Beru. Grendizer weapons prove still incapable to do any to the monster as it breaks up and reassembles to avoid its attacks, Grendizer is now left corner between the beast and a cliff. However, Daisuke notices small holes over the beast's body: realizing that each time he attack, he was taking out some the Micro-saucers. Beru fires missiles which destroy the cliff, Grendizer hold on to the edge, the beast then approaches to finish him when the Mecha unleashes Space Thunder at it, the Beru Beru Micro-saucers are burn to a crisp and it explodes. With his first defeat, Zuril vows to make sure to send Grendizer to hell.
