Vega Beast Zume Zume (or as I like to call it The Demon Freezer Mecha Cyclops Yeti Were Wabbit of DOOOOOOM!!! ShutDafuqUp!) was the 68th Monster by order of Appearance to be featured in Ep.63 of the UFO Robot Grendizer; It somewhat resembled a Bestial Humanoid Cyclops with long curved ears, cover in fur; It was Light & Dark Purple, with Grey; had long pointy curved ears, and pointy curved shoulders, with crystals in the chest; sport a long curved blade for a right arm; a freezer beam was fire from the chest and eye; retractable wings would appear in the back for flight.

Most of the episode centers around Kirika, a young female Vega scientist who, following her late brother's research, discovers instant freezer liquid, in hopes to use it on the Burning Planet, wanting to end the war with the people of Earth.

Quick Note: It is alluded to be Venus though NOT mention by name, because in her flashback with her -nameless- brother before death mentions “Burning Planet in the Solar System”. Again, basing it on the subtitles. If anyone understands Japanese, see if you can find the episode to confirm this.

King Vega orders her to use it to capture Duke with it. Reluctantly she travels to Earth where she freezes a village, and later she hides when Team Grendizer arrives; Then, undercover of a Blizzard using reflections of herself tries Kill Duke, but is wounded by Maria who uses her Premonition Foresight. Gandal demands a solution, but Zuril replies Duke will fall into the trap – indicating this is part of the plan.

She is taken to the Space Center, where Kirika, rambles about her brother in her sleep, wakes up and she meets Umon, Daisuke and the Others; trying to be friendly to her they return her (fucking) laser Gun (WHAT?), though she reacts cold (AHAAH) to their interaction. Not wanting to be forceful to her, the others (minus Daisuke and Maria) leave at advise of Daisuke, who then offers her some relaxant pills, but her demand to be killed earns her a smack from the former (I face palm here). She takes the pills, and Duke request to her rest, suggesting to call him and her sister for anything – been siblings been a fact that touches Kirika, been reminded of her dead Brother; as they leave, Kirika notices her ring, a freezer weapon itself, wasn't taken, and promises to Freeze Duke.

Later, Duke and Koji explore the Tamima region, where they find Kirika's ship after detecting Vegatron frequencies; Duke enters the vessel and a trap is sprung, with freezer gas been release onto him Koji unable to make a dent on the hull to help him. The villains launch Zume Zume to destroy him as Maria and Hikaru take Kirika to force her to free Duke; on site, she uses her Talisman to open the door, and jumps into the vessel while no one is watching to kill a frozen Duke herself, but Maria stands in her way, demanding to be killed over her brother instead, making Kirika know Daisuke is Duke, causing her conflicting emotions, due to her own close relation with her late brother, as well the fact (DESPITE THE SLAP) they treated her from her wounds. After much argument, Duke breaks free and throws an icicle on her hand, making her misfire at the Freezing Gas dispenser.

Zume Zume arrives and the heroes scatter to their vehicles to fight the Beast, which uses it Freezer Beam to repeal Grendizer's attacks, while Hikaru and Maria take Kirika away, but the latter is wounded in her torso by Debris Blast from the battle. Maria leaves Kirika on her ship, promising help later, but feeling responsible for the situation, Kirika takes off on her vessel and in a state of delirium, thinks she is firing her Freezer Missiles to Venus, seeing it turning into a beautiful planet like Earth, but in reality, she is flying towards the Beast, who shuts her down with the very Freezer Beam she help create.

Enrage, Duke and the Spazers attack the monster; the Beast fires its beam again to repeal Grendizer's charge attack but is counter by Anti Gravity Storm, the Mecha stabbing it with Double Harken on the body and head; Duke then lifts Zume with Anti Gravity Storm where, in the air, disposes of the monster with Screw Punch.

Maria takes Kirika out of the wreckage with too many wounds to be save; recognizing she would not achieve her brother's wish with his research, she makes her peace, and bids farewell, hoping happiness for the Fleed Siblings, dying on Maria's arms. The Team returns to base, after burying her, with stones marking her grave with words written in it (unfortunately I dunno what it says, as the translator did NOT translated the message in her tombstones).
