The Thin Woods

I wanted to recapture some of the excitement of reading goosebumps when I was a kid. My mother and I used to read them every night and it's made me a huge fan of horror. The Thin Woods refers to a forest in which the line between our world and the supernatural is thin. Hope you like it. =)

That guy looks like my OC, Fred. Haha. Also this is a very awesome illustration! I used to read books like goosebumps all the time when I was younger too. The fog-mist looks great, and it really brings everything together. The expression on the kid looks really good too. The glowing eyes and moon and flashlight blend very nicely. The bark looks realistic too. Very well balanced color scheme.

I'm not really a Goosebumps guy, but I AM a horror person, not to mention I'm really into folklore, so I appreciate the nod to "Thin places". Anyways, this piece is absolutely fantastic, absolutely dripping with character. I love how richly you've coloured everything, also, something about this makes me think of Ivan Bilibin.
