Hi guys, Fwiller here! This here is a drawing of a man who is pole vaulting away from danger. I drew/coloured this image in flash, then proceeded to do some post-editting in Gimp (ie: fog, edit colours a bit, etc.). This full image took me about 6 hours to complete, and I'm very proud of how it turned out.

This would have to be my most time consuming digital painting as of yet, and I am excited to do this again. Feedback would be very appreciated, as I am still much of beginner at using this medium.

Thanks for taking a look!

Great work! The character is particularly well drawn, sadly though the best part of the picture is kind of lost in the sea of the image, and in the cliffs and grass there is a lack of general detail and interest. That being said, the picture is unique and funny, but the main qualm I'm bringing up is it's a better image than many people will see, simply because the focus of detail is hidden amongst a sea of not much detail and style. Keep going though, you're improving drastically!

Thanks for the feedback, Jazza! Next time I'll be sure to make the detailed character the focus of the image. I'm glad you brought that to my attention, because I've been looking at that image for so long that I stopped seeing anything wrong with it.

The overall pose/proportions of the human look very good. The grass needs a bit of refining and the highlights and shadows in it are pretty hard. The fire on the arrows might look better with a small amount of horizontal blur (you can do blurs, glows and other stuff in Flash after converting the art/symbol to a movie clip symbol). The fog/smog looks pretty neat though and I like the way you blurred the sun. Good work!!
