Anva wondered the recently claimed land. There was a village, with a town hall, what remained of the shops, and many houses.
The Houses had seen better days; most of them without a roof. broken down, Islamic style rugs abandoned. The only life inhabitants now where the snakes and other critters. Anva's Father warned her of snakes; evil Serpents they were. Anva tried to stay away from them.
Then her father, a commander, ordered her to come to him. she did what she was told.

and I thought of a story of a Russian Theocracy in a nuclear apocalypse with an idea that capitalism was the cause of it.

I think the content of your pics are ok, although if your’e going for solid areas of colour it’s prob best not to try for details like individual blades of grass and instead consider layers of shapes.
It would be would be worthwhile to be consistent with how you handle shading as well - either as solid shapes (underneath the girl) or slightly transparent (underneath the fence).
