Jinxes Roh

Author Comments

Jinxes Roh, was a 377 year old red eyed mongrel revolutionary from a book that I am currently writing.
She entered the world of elves when a band of fortune seeking gypsies took pity on her during a time of severe famine and took her from her birthplace -the hellish forest known as Lorendi. After many years of close care and integrating she settled in Fleet. When she reached her twenties, she found herself caught up in a dispute between the elves of Fleet that concerned the possession of power, in all of it's forms. This steadily grew into a war that lasted until the end of her life which equated to around six normal generations.) But she and a group (the U.E) that included Kairo Trait and Jant Drovv, the last heir to the town of Drovv, protected the citizens who where opposed to the new laws, and saw the raising of New Fleet, the city that almost brought them to their knees. And thus she became the leader of the crumbling city that once the capital of the world.
She died in the battle between the the united people of both the old city and the new and the Seen, who had wiped out much of the elven population elsewhere in the world, it was on that day she met Faye, (the main character of my book) a small girl, a mongrel like herself who had joined the effort in the war against the seen to avenge the mascaraed people of Vaeli, her home, and her very close and protective friend, Telon. Jinxes Roh taught Faye that it was possible to fight and remain a pacifist. When the elves were in the think of the battle, the network of trusted people Jinxes had slowly and over a long period of time wormed in the very fabric of New Fleet took their hold, playing out a plan that had been growing since the split in the government first came about, that took no casualties and gave the suppressed and tyrannised people of Fleet what had been taken from them.
