Godfather

Share

This is the godfather drawn in Adobe Illustrator. I haven't worked in illustrator for awhile, so more time was spent re-learning the program rather than getting anything done. I still have quite a ways to go before I grasp it.

:EDIT: This was drawn in Adobe Illustrator using photo reference. It was for an assignment last year in computer illustration. We were to find a photo and draw it in illustrator using flat shapes as a way to learn the program. I've still got a lot to learn.

Hm?

I thought it looked like Lenin.....no one else saw that? As others have said, the lighting works well. I don't know how close this is to the original photo (the closer it is the lower the score it deserves), but at the very least I'm guessing you haven't made it worse. Its a good, sinister Lenin in my mind (and he was in many ways a sinister man, so it works on a character level).

Maybe a slight Brando resemblance, but not in my mind as strong as Lenin....sorry if this isn't what you were aiming for....hahahaha

Would be better

If it had a lot more depth.

As it stands, it just looks like a choppy vector.

If it came out of illustrator

How come it is in .jpg bitmap format when it should clearly be vector .png format?

FoggyD responds:

I save everything as a jpg. I've been told that .png is higher quality, so I might switch over to that. Thanks :)

reat!

Awesome!

9/10*

It looks good

But it is still close to a photo being precessed by a standard filter from photoshop.
To me it has the looks of a bitmap trace in flash.
The picture is nice but it could be the original photo is already that good.
For the appearance i give a
5 for originality
-2 for execution
-2 for the used effect
-1 for Again that same old godfather sh**t.
Please continue Cuz i can see that most of your work shows your great talent.
this just not represents that talent
