this is....INCREDIBLY realistic, and with excellent shading/lighting effects.
was this done in 3-D?
if not, its even more amazing.
the robot slightly reminds me of the madness characters, but this is not a bad thing. it adds to the epicness of the drawing....
and i noticed the tattoo-looking sig, on the bot, and the single oil drop from his hand, cool details!
wonderful. i fully support thee. (like previous guy said)
beautiful rendering sir. I COMMEND THEE
You are too kind, good sir!
I really love the way you draw attention to the robot's head. I know you've been working with zbrush lately, and I initially thought it was a 3d rendered image. The way you focus in on it while leaving the surrounding areas blurred really gives the image a sense of depth. Excellent work.
My only crit I suppose would be to tighten up some of the edges just a little bit, for instance, the band that goes around its waist. The width of the band is inconsistent--making that symmetrical is just an example of a tiny little touch up that I think would go a long way.
Thanks for your kind works! I've actually just began working on hard and soft edges, I have always been oblivious to them. Hard to make a balance:P
He's super cool and it looks like he knows it! I only spot this weird disconnect between the two legs of his, where the closest one is quite brighter than the one further away. I understand it's probably to make the fist read better, but I think it's making his leg seem almost ghostlike imo.
Your right, its just about that, it seems more important to show the separation between the parts. since this is suppose to be a concept design and clearly showing whats going on is more important then aesthetics.
Your stuff just keeps getting better and better! great joob man, but I don't know how easy it would be to tag with those huge hands...doesn't mean I didn't love it dude
Haha thanks man!
