Finally, here it is - one of the two artworks I kept saying I'd finish soon! This actually arose out of an art prompt given to me by a friend. I unfortunately can't say what it was here, because it would end up revealing some personal information, but I loved taking on the challenge and trying something different from my usual.
It's been a while since I've tried to make something with extra effort put into the lines and shading like this. I was originally hoping to make it lineless, but as I worked, it morphed into something more experimental, with a combination of visibly lined and faux-lineless style, where the lines were the same color as the colors layer itself. Is it visually coherent? I'm not sure. But it was very interesting to explore - and probably the most fun I've ever had with a gray-based color palette. I even learned how to draw a decent horse and a realistic lightning bolt for this! So even though this piece gave me quite a bit of trouble and didn't turn out 100% how I'd like, I can definitely say it was worth it and I'm proud.
Also, let me know if any of you want to see the background by itself. I'm really happy about it.

Thanks!
Maybe one day I’ll remake it. No idea if I’ll ever get that kind of motivation again, though lol
Its fun art ))
Congrats on finishing it! \o/
You really didn't simplify your life drawing a horse, but you did great! Now... draw more! MORE! hahahahaha
