My submission to DrawWithJazzas's Challenge of the Month depicts two girls using their preferred types of drawing, one being virtual reality, and one pencil drawing. This is to go with the theme of 'Tradigital'. I originally drew these figures in my sketchbook, coloured the pencil girl in pencils and then scanned them and coloured the virtual reality figure to go with the aesthetic of digital art. For the background, I have my characters placed in front of a window (which I got to unleash my inner Bob Ross with). The background changes from the smooth, clean aesthetic of digital art to the rough pencil look. This is not only my first (on time) submission to the challenge of the month, but my first time EVER using digital art. (I had to coax my brother to let me use his microsoft touch lol.)
This was so much fun to draw, really. I haven't put down my brother's tablet n like three days. I learned a lot about digital drawing from Jazza's videos, but i finally got to put it into practice and I'm pretty happy with the results!
I might also take this time to thank Jazza, Kate and everyone who was at the Melbourne arty party on the 8th. it was so great meeting you all, meeting other fans and having Jazza have a look at my art. It was a great day and I'm so happy to have had the chance to go.
