Deaf-Culture Self Portrait

Author Comments

This was made in flash-cs5 (with a lot of kicking and screaming)

A majority of the gems are on the left-side and represents the hearing population, while a minority on the right represented the Deaf-community.

The light from the sunset represents the senses and how uncertain our futures are.

The gems represented people, which where all valuable regardless of the amount of light shone on them.

Finally, the sunglasses represents my attempts to learn ASL and its culture.
