DAE PREPRO1 End Assignment

This is my final project for the PREPRO1 exam at Howest Digital Arts and Entertainment, Belgium.

I am not a 2D artist, this course has introduced me to drawing and generating concepts, generating different shapes and picking the right ones. The purpose of the drawings (except for the final) are not for them to be pretty, but to iterate design. I hope I pass and can finally return to my 3D art.

Appreciate the effort in all the various forms and elements in this interesting flyer. Definitely has a gritty and tough industrial aesthetic to its appearance, and feels like it belongs in Crimson Skies or Jak and Daxter. Great work, and good luck in passing your final!

Looks pretty good to me! The concept is usually done by someone else and it’s just the 3D modeler’s job to convert it to 3D, but good on the school for teaching you several other steps in the pipeline in the likely event one would work in a small indie project and have to wear many hats, so to speak!

I am probably never going to do concept art, but this course helped me improve my creativity by cramming ideas into paper. This is the second time I do such thing.
I am trying to specialize so I only do guns or at least only hard surface 3D in the future.
