The tale of the lone long-nosed Borzoi is a legend that is seemingly older than time itself. It is said that when a light of a thousand suns dried out all lakes and cleansed the world form the last masters, the lone long nosed borzoi was left to wander the earth without its owner. The long nosed borzoi wept for hundreds of years and flooded the old world with its tears. The long nosed borzoi is considered to be the god of water, and guider of souls lost in the trenches of life according to the ancient canine scriptures.
Now-days, the tale of the lone long nosed borzoi has taken the back seat for more convenient religions such as the believers of the holy Mackerel, the followers of the moon-goat and the disciples of the gold beaked toucan. The meaning of the tale has been lost to time which has transformed it into one of those age old jokes everyone knows but no one know where they heard it first. It is jokingly said that the lone long nosed borzoi sheds a tear for every dog without a treat, and two tears for every dog that has to watch someone else eat.
Strange are those reappearing claims of animals that got lost in the wilderness at the brink of death being guided back to safety by a mysterious light. Perhaps there is more to the myth than what meets the eye? No one can say for sure although scientists claim that this is just hallucinations caused by nutritional deficiencies. These wild claims became so widespread that the Animerican government had to make an official statement urging its citizens to only read the governmentally approved Book of the Mackerel as to preserve their minds from succumbing to madness and ending up in hell. A large monetary donation to the church works as well for redemption!
