Golpherra Animation #2!

Share

This is number 2 of my animations of Golpherra! This attack can be considered a double punch or a push, that first leans back and then forward. This is the first attack of her neutral combo.

Now the whole animation is something that is its own thing, unlike the previous one! Well, mostly anyway. To animate all the parts of the body (and the other things besides the beanie), I used exported shapes from Combat Tournament to then put into the project, and then I changed the colors of them if necessary, and then I could put those parts where I needed them to be where I desired.

One thing you most likely noticed with this animation is how I made the beanie look like it had physics going for it. Maybe a bit too much forward momentum when she stops moving forward and the shift in direction for it to go backwards definitely makes it look a bit weird, I know. But it was my first time doing it, and I indeed get better at it over time.

No inspiration for this one. I mean well, besides Homerun Bat's Unused Grab.

I used this to help me make this animation, mainly because my idea was kinda similar to how this works. But other than that, the idea for this one was completely made up by me. This is also when I realized, that animating like this actually isn't that bad. While it is still basically like copying, and might not be considered actually original to some, it's different in the sense that the body parts are now separate, and I could now make whatever I wanted to pose like something. Still some getting used to doing this overall, though.

This attack made it into the unreleased CT game. I wanted Ongokiller50 to make this attack move her forward slightly during the hitbox frame. in which case, he did do that.
