NG Portraits - JustSuds

Author Comments

Finally, my first art submission...

I was going to do some photo editing, because the paper got wrinkled and tended to distort the drawing when I was trying to take the picture. But I just said screw it, I'm going to give you guys the raw, unedited, uncut, plain drawing.

Let me know what you think...

Not bad at all, I'd say that this is scout worthy. It's a shame that you only have this one piece at the moment. That doesn't mean that you should rush getting three others up and have then be bad quality.

If I was to pick fault with this piece I'd say that the hat could do with some work as it doesn't appear to have much of a texture and the horizontal lines on the rim could have been done better. Also I can't help but get the feeling that the left eye is slightly too far to the left. Other then that stuff it's a good piece that you should be proud of.

Well done.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice.

@Soronya The nose is all kinds of crooked in real life anyways. XD

Wow. This is amazing. There's more detail in this than there was in the photo. Great job!

Shit's off the heezy my neezy. One thing though. His right ear looks it was chewed by a grizzly bear. Which you know, makes it look more swagged.

Thanks mayne ;)

I think, this is reallly good :)
The shadow of the nose looks a little strange but I cannot say why :D
May I give a tip: Draw darker shadows! It will look more realistic!
All in all it is a very good drawing! Keep it up!

The shadows actually were pretty dark on the picture. The issue is, and I'm not trying to make an excuse or anything, how the lighting was in the room when I took the photograph of the drawing. It was very angular, and I had to get just the right view so that there was no glare.

Thanks for the review and advice ;)
