My tiny human brain cannot begin to comprehend this 11th-dimensional concept.
I don't get it. is this a composite photo with mixed media effects on top? or is it a painting...? i'll check out the rest of this series, but still...eh.
Haha np, the women and stools are pen and pencil on paper, while the upper portion is an image transfer using laquer thinner. (roughly pushing ink from a printed sheet of paper onto my artwork) That process, however, is very rough and doesn't look good, so I refine it with more ink and colored pencil to fill it out, and still retain the grungy effect. Ive done 12 of these and it took me until about the tenth one to get the process right haha, its quite difficult.
I am not an artist, but I disagree with you. As much as your own work in this series show, there is always, at least, an unconscious drive to what we do. Even if we cannot perceive or feel it.
This picture tells me she's in a psychological prison, going through some liberation process with her own self, thrall of her own doom. Maybe due to famine or loneliness, but that's just me.
Surely things don't need to have a meaning, but you put a lot of meaning into that work, even if nobody can describe it.
You have an interesting point there, and I feel the same way with your take from it. Thanks for your kind words.
It has a beautiful but dark look to it. I love the detail put into this.
Thank you! I like darker undertones for some reason.
I can't say anything bad about this drawing.
Looks so deep... Oo
Haha, thanks I appreciate it.
